Leading idea: updating building information and converting it into electronic format

Ready

The project carried out by the municipality of Hartola will result in up-to-date and easy-to-maintain building information.

What kind of problem is the project trying to solve?

There are differences and shortcomings in the information that municipalities, rescue departments, National Land Survey, Population Register Centre, Tax Administration and other authorities have on existing buildings. Erroneous information makes both the work of the authorities and the operations of the owners of the buildings more difficult.

Objective: Ease of use of property information

This experimental project involves creating and testing an online interface for property owners where they can update and use real estate register data. The objective is to achieve a functioning system for verifying, checking and sharing property information.

What is done in this project?

During the project, a new interface will be built into the Kuntanet system. In addition, building data will be collected, entered into the system, checked, verified for accuracy and tested for usability.

What are the expected results of the experiment?

Up-to-date building information for various authorities, property owners and other users of the information. The system will significantly facilitate the verification of and adding to the information collected in connection with transferring building permit archives into electronic format, as well as the transfer of the data to registers.

Who benefits?

Everyone who needs up-to-date building information: municipalities, National Land Survey, Population Register Centre, Tax Administration, rescue departments, postal service, designers, real estate agents and, obviously, the owners of buildings and properties.
