A shared model and a portal for references in the construction sector

Ready

Companies in the construction sector prove their competence for projects with the work they have implemented, i.e. references. What should these references be like? This experimental project develops a shared model for high-quality references that can be compared – and a portal for compiling them.

What kind of problem is the project trying to solve?

The construction sector lacks a shared model for references that companies in the sector could use to verify they have the expertise required for the projects. A reference means, for example, work performed by the construction company that proves the company has the required expertise to carry out the commissioned construction projects. Furthermore, a portal is required in which the references are compiled and can be searched for.

Objective: to create a shared reference model for the construction sector and a portal for maintaining it

The project aims to develop a shared model of a standard, comparable and verified reference for the construction sector.

Based on this model, a portal will also be developed for compiling, maintaining and presenting the references concerning the built environment (buildings, roads, bridges, etc.). Through interfaces, the references in the portal can be used in different services, such as platforms and documents for requesting quotes.

In the implementation, the possibility to join the future KIRA service channel that will respond to the data needs of the real estate and construction sector digitally will also be taken into account.

The reference model will be drawn up in cooperation with construction sector companies and associations. Information on the project participants and the construction process will also be linked to the reference.

Who benefits?

Construction sector companies and associations, customers of building projects and the authorities.
