The objective is to find technical solutions for locating equipment in the indoor areas of a construction site during construction and study the effects of the information it provides on the equipment management. What is done in this project?
The technology of Kaltio Technologies Oy will be tested in locating Ramirent lifters in the indoor areas of an SRV construction site. The lifters at the site will be fitted with special positioning devices that allow the monitoring of the locations of the lifters indoors where GPS signal is not available. In addition, reference points will be installed to allow the positioning of the lifters. The location data will be collected by using a separate application and shown to anyone who needs them in the RamiSmart construction site portal. In the experimental project, the necessary precision of positioning, the need for optimising the equipment and technology required for the positioning will be established.
